I’m Jenny Jay, and just like you, I’ve been on a long journey of learning, seeking education, and growing to be a better person each and every day.
When I first started my work in media creation, paired with my journey of unlearning and re-learning, I was disappointed — but it wasn’t with the amount of information.
Instead, it was by how inaccessible the language and delivery of information was, and the lack of conversations around these NEEDED conversations.
As a storyteller and creator, all of my education in storytelling, accessibility, and inclusive practices over the last 7 years have become integral to the content that I write, create, and share. Add that to my lived experiences as aSouth Asian woman with experiences with in/visible disability, living unhoused and without financial security, and existing in my other identities, I recognize the difference it makes when content is created in a way that recognizes you and validates your experiences.
Together, I truly believe we can make spaces — especially online, spaces for change.
Because now more than ever, this is important.

I’m Jenny Jay, and just like you, I’ve been on a long journey of learning, seeking education, and growing to be a better person each and every day.
When I first started my studies in gender & anti-racism education in 2014, I was disappointed — but it wasn’t with the amount of information.
Instead, it was by how inaccessible the language and delivery of information was — because, for starters, these conversations were more often than not, classic, with language that is only made for people who have gone through post-secondary or academic education.
And none of it was practical.
As a storyteller and creator, all of my education in anti-racism, accessibility, and inclusion over the last 6 years have become integral to the content that I write, create, and share. Add that to my lived experiences as a south asian woman with experiences with in/visible disability, living unhoused and without financial security, and existing in my other identities, I recognize the difference it makes when content is created in a way that recognizes you and validates your experiences.
